Otis Clay

Otis Clay (born February 11, 1942 in Waxhaw, Mississippi) is an American R&B and soul singer who started in gospel music. He began with Gospel groups like Christian Travelers and Gospel Songbirds then switched to secular music in the mid-1960s. Starting in the 1970s he became noted for styles like Soul blues and one of his songs, "Tryin' To Live My Life Without You," was covered by Bob Seger. He was also a nominee for the Grammy for Best Traditional R&B Vocal Performance.
